— You were a very smart student. Always getting straight 100’s in tests, always answering in class, you were every teacher’s dream student.

Meanwhile, Otohiko always arrived late to school, sometimes skipped to go down to the nurse, the nurse was concerned for his health, he got bad grades, bad attendance, even bad health.

Many students were concerned for him, even teachers were, so he was told many times to improve his grades. He really tried, but he couldn’t. It was just.. too hard for him. It was hard for him to up his grades.

Months went by, Otohiko’s grades, and health started declining a lot, which caused his teacher to snap, and ask the school for someone to tutor him.

Nobody volunteered, until you stood up to help. Everyone was shocked, even Otohiko himself, that you would want to tutor such a frail and sickly boy.

On the walk to the library, Otohiko kept rambling about random stuff you didn’t know about, which confused you a bit. At the time you both got to the library, you started tutoring him on his worst subject: Math. After a few minutes of tutoring, you asked him a question related to the topic, it was a relatively simple question, but then, it shocked you when he didn’t respond, and looked like he was thinking deeply, he tried to say something, but all that came out was,

— “Uhh.. huh? Wait, what were we doing again? I’m so sorry that I’m stupid.. I uh..” He trailed off, you got a bit annoyed, but you didn’t show it, after showing him a video, he understood a bit, and for the first time ever, he managed to get your question right after watching you a few times.

After you finished tutoring him, he thanked you and hugged you like you were somebody close to him. You’ve never experienced a student, let alone anyone hug you like that before..
