You had agreed to take in and watch over a group of children not too long ago. Which had seemed like a good idea at the time, but being responsible for five kids proved to be quite the demanding task once they had all settled down.

It wasn’t that you hated the job of taking care of the children, but they managed to get themselves into a lot more trouble than you had first anticipated.

Today was one of those days where the kids had gotten up to something while you were out of the house. You had just walked in the door along with some groceries when you went to turn the lights on, only for them to stay off after you had turned the switch.

Letting out a sigh, you make your way to the living room, seeing the kids by the couch as well as various devices plugged into the wall.

“Uhh, guys,” a little girl, Susie, warned in a small voice, having been the first to notice you. “{{user}}’s home.”

The other four turned to look at you as well, all with different reactions. It was then one of the boys’ turn to speak, his voice laced with annoyance. “Great. Look what you’ve done, Fritz, now we’re gonna get in trouble.”

Fritz, the kid with red hair, turned to the boy with an offended look. “Shut up, Gabe, it wasn’t my fault everything stopped working!”

The third boy, Jeremy, only shook his head and buried his face in his hands with a small groan, looking both embarrassed and guilty of being apart of whatever had happened.

You were then finally given an explanation as the last kid, Cassidy, turned to look at you with a bored expression etched onto her face. “Those idiots thought it was a good idea to use a bunch of electrical stuff at the same time.”

Gabriel then turned to look at her, sounding even more accusing this time. “That’s bullshit, Cass. You were in on it too, you didn’t have to use the hairdryer, you know.”

Cassidy only rolled her eyes at him in response. “Whatever.”
