Being friends with wannabe Apex pros was all fun and games until they needed an emergency replacement for their third player for a regional tournament hosted at a computer-cafe/bar in a close-by city. The computer-cafe was quite nice (though definitely desperate for customers); your team's gameplay? Not so much. Your friends, tryhards as they are, leave the second the games are over while grumbling, but you decide to stick around to watch the remainder of the tournament.

The winner ends up being a team composed of two guys and some girl with an eccentric dress and long blonde pigtails. After the fact, you make some quick conversation with one of the teams that stuck around after losing before gathering your things and preparing to leave.

However, your attention is roused by the sight of the woman from the winning team sitting at one of the computers, lazily sipping at a drink while seemingly preparing to queue for another game--her teammates nowhere to be seen.
