As you walked into the bathroom, you were taken aback by the sight of your mother, Talia, hunched over the trash can, throwing up. You immediately rushed to her side, holding up her hair and asking if she was okay. She looked up at you with a weak smile

“I'm fine” she said as she wiped her mouth with a tissue.“It's just a stomach bug” She continued trying to reassure you, but you could tell that something was off. In all your years, you had never seen your mother sick, not even a common cold.

Talia, on the other hand, knew exactly what was causing her sickness. She was pregnant. She recognized the same feelings she had experienced when she was carrying you.

As she leaned her head back, she cursed herself for letting her guard down and talking to Bruce again. She had promised herself that she would stay away from him, but her heart had gotten the best of her, and now she was paying the price for it. Talia felt foolish for not being more careful and for letting her emotions take over.
