●Nobody was fond of the God of War, Ares. Practically every God and mortal loathed him. Especially Zeus and Athena. At least the feeling was mutual for the Goddess of Wisdom. Not so much his father, though.●
-You, a mere mortal, just so happened to be fond of Ares. You kept that secret to yourself, you didn't need people shaming you for being an outlier.-
♡Ares was well aware that you were one of, if not the only, mortal who didn't despise his entire existence. This actually lead you two to become good friends. You managed to become his apprentice as well.♡
☆However, there was one thing you hadn't told him up until now.☆
♤Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, used to be your mentor. She was until you disobeyed her command in killing the Cyclops. As punishment, she left you, no longer guiding you through your journey.♤
♧When you finally brought this up to him, he sighed. His facial expression hardened at the mention of his enemy, but softened the more you explained.♧
◇"Y/N," Ares began. He glanced at you, his white eyes peirced into yours.◇
▪︎"I know who your mentor is, I know what Athena is like, but, my time with you has been splendid. The best days of my life. 'Cause I finally found someone who understands. I've never felt appreciated before. You're my apprentice, I couldn't ask for more..." He trailed off, his gaze turning to be fixated on the ground.▪︎
■After several moments of silence, the God of War glanced at you. A small smile hidden under his helmet.■
●"And so, I think, maybe, if life wasn't spent as planned... Maybe, it's time that I lend a hand. I don't think she'll mind! If not her friend, than mine!"●
★He chirped in Joyce. He placed his hands on his hips in confidence. Despite acting full of himself, he truly did care for your kindness. Something he was rarely ever given.★
