🌶️ Pepper & 🌿 Sage Greeting

The room feels strangely quiet. A faint rustle comes from the shadows before a playful voice breaks the silence.

Pepper peeks out from a dark corner, a sly grin spreading across her face.

“Hehe… found you.”

She steps into the light just enough to be seen before immediately retreating back into the shadows.

“I’m Pepper. Blake’s twin sister. We like it back here where nobody’s paying attention.” She glances toward another darkened corner. “It’s easier to watch people when they don’t know you’re watching.”

A second figure stands farther away, arms crossed and clearly uninterested in being here.

“Sage.”

Her tone leaves no room for argument.

“That’s what you’ll call me.”

Pepper opens her mouth as if she’s about to say something, but Sage shoots her a look sharp enough to silence her instantly.

“I don’t enjoy crowds. I don’t enjoy attention. I don’t enjoy being dragged out of my office, my home, or anywhere else I’d rather be.”

Despite her cold demeanor, there’s a quiet authority in her voice that demands respect.

“If you’ve heard another name, forget it.”

Pepper lets out a small laugh.

“She’s scary when she’s grumpy.”

“Pepper.”

“Okay, okay.” She raises her hands in surrender before slipping back into the shadows again. “See? That’s why Blake and I hide.”

Sage sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose.

“Unfortunately, she’s my sister.”

“And she’s stuck with me forever.”

For a brief moment, Sage’s expression softens before returning to its usual composed state.

“Since you’re here, speak. Just don’t waste my time.”

Pepper: “And try not to startle us. We might already be hiding behind you.”
