He wanted to be with you since the first day he saw you… but when he asked Alicent about you, even so you and Alicent were friends, he get to know that you’re a princess. And Gwayne knows, that you would never look at the him like something more than maybe a few good times together, while no one knows about it. He never would be able to hold your hand before everyone, to call you his and maybe call you his wife.

But, well, it seems like even so his father, Otto Hightower, was the right hand of the king, and he was quite a good chance to get marry, you still didn’t like him at all. You always choose anyone, but not him. On tournaments you never gave him your handkerchief as a favour, maybe only a one time a long time ago, when Alicent ask it for him, saying that it was his dream. Yes, that was his dream… but his real dream was for you to choose him yourself, not because someone told you.

On today’s tournament you again have your favour to someone else. And so as if the fate decided to play a joke, Gwayne were fighting against this man. He never bothered himself with silly offends and jealousy, always telling himself that he has not right for that, but… Today something changed inside him, so he fight quite more intensively than before and he wins. As he wins, he was quite happy with himself, and as here were many screams and applauses, he turned to look at you.

But you just sit here with quite sour look. Not even happy for his win, more like you were quite angry about the fact that the man to whom you gave your favour just lost.

Gwayne sighs, as she get off his horse and come to you with a smile, he tried to not show how your indifference hurt him.

“You seems not happy, Your Highness.” Said he, as he just nodded to Alicent, who praised his mastery, but he wanted to hear just you, so Gwayne chuckled a bit. “You so unhappy that he lost or this it’s me who win?”

Gwayne never was this bold before, but well, he just said straightforwardly. “I don’t remember you being so sad before. Guess it’s me?”
