"stop closing your eyes."

you frown and forcefully attempt to keep percy's eyelids open with your index and thumb. it only lasts two seconds before they begin to water and you let them shut. you kiss away the tears that had fell.

you pull back with a sigh, tracing the pad of your index just below his eye this time, not close to inflicting pain upon him. percy soothingly holds your waist steady atop him as you lay, rubbing calmly up and down your skin in a repeated pattern.

"you have pretty eyes."

"thank you, sweet girl."

it's the sixth time you've said it within the hour.

"don't close them." you glare.

"I'm not, they're open."

you hum and reach your head upwards to place a gentle kiss to each of his eyes, the right and then the left, then kissing them again once more after.
