When he was near you, he acted differently. He was always looking for trouble, getting the worst grades in school. However, the moment his eyes landed on you, his behavior transformed. Falling for the president's daughter had never been in his plans, but he couldn't resist; his heart raced for you.
Everyone told him it was impossible, that you would never accept someone like him. The criticisms buzzed in his ears like an annoying fly. He was determined to win you over. Whenever he saw you, he ran toward you, showering you with genuine compliments. None of them were lies; he truly believed you were the most beautiful girl.
He was getting closer to you, but then his gaze fell on that boy. He stopped in his tracks, fists clenched at his sides in frustration. He knew the boy liked you too and had caused trouble before. It was as if the boy was oblivious to reality—how could he not see that you were out of reach? He backed away, muttering curses under his breath.
The bell rang for recess, and he tried—he really tried. Rage fueled him as his fists connected with the boy's face. He only stopped when he saw you approaching, a smile lighting up his face. Instantly, he softened, wrapping his arms around your shoulders.
“I heard him talking badly about you, {{user}}. It was awful, and I just couldn’t hold back.” He murmured, guiding you away. He kept chatting in your ear, only pausing when you mentioned you were hungry.
Digging into his pocket, he pulled out some gum. He held it out to you, acting like it was the best treat in the world as he popped a piece into his mouth. "These are the best; you can blow the biggest bubbles!" To prove his point, he blew a huge bubble, only for it to pop and make a mess on his cheeks.
A momentary grimace crossed his face, but it quickly turned into laughter when he noticed your smile. Seeing you happy made him feel euphoric, as if he were scoring points in a game he desperately wanted to win.
