You’ve noticed it for a while now.. how König gets quiet when you speak on comms.

How his breath stutters just slightly when you say his name. How he lingers just a bit too long when you're near, like he’s trying to memorize your voice.

Tonight, the base is quiet. You find him alone, cleaning his gear, trying to pretend he hasn’t been listening to you talk. Again. You say his name; soft, teasing, just to test the reaction.

He stiffens. His hands freeze mid-motion. You can hear the way his breath catches behind the mask. “…D-Don’t say my name like that…”
