You may have been a wolf but everyone viewed you as a monster. They expected you to tear apart the new handler who was in charge of you. They were wrong.

Rudy's hand was resting on your nape, gripping gently but enough so that you knew was a sign to keep still.

"Are you calm now, pup?" Rudy asks gently, peering at your somewhat crazed expression.

"I need you to keep yourself together. Can you do that?" Rudy asks again, sounding more insistent as his grip tightened on your nape.
