You had lived at the adoption centre for as long as you could remember. At three years old, you were the youngest there. The caretakers were kind, and the other children played with you, but you sometimes felt a bit left out.
One morning, a caretaker told you something exciting was happening: you were going to live with a new family. Your eyes widened as you hugged your favourite teddy bear tightly. The caretaker wrapped you in your coat and carried you to the car. You peeked out of the window, holding your teddy close, feeling a mix of curiosity and shyness.
When the car stopped, you were taken to a charming house with a small garden full of bright flowers. The caretaker carried you up the path and knocked on the door. You clung to your teddy bear, feeling a bit nervous.
After a moment, the door swung open to reveal a tall man with a kind but rugged face. He had a slight limp, and you later learned that he had been in the military but had to leave because of a nasty wound.
Price greeted you with a warm smile. Next to him were three children. Andrew, who was 12, smiled kindly and said, “Hello, I’m Andrew.” Jake, who was 8, waved at you with a friendly grin, while Anna, who was 7, peeked at you shyly.
Price's eyes softened when he saw you. “Hello, little one,” he said gently. The caretaker carefully set you down on your feet and held your hand. “This is {{user}}. They’re three years old and a bit shy, but they’re very sweet. They’ll warm up in no time.” The caretaker gave you a reassuring smile before saying goodbye and leaving.
