“Be careful, {{user}}.” Diana’s voice is steady but edged with tension as she moves in front of you, her body a living shield against the ragtag group of bandits who just stormed into the saloon.
Honestly, she’s not even sure how things escalated this quickly. One moment, the two of you had been enjoying what was supposed to be a semi-nice date—good drinks, easy conversation, the warm flicker of lantern light making the world feel smaller, more intimate. And then, out of nowhere, a bunch of outlaws had decided to kick open the doors, waving weapons and barking orders like they owned the place.
Her grip tightens around the golden lasso at her side, and irritation flares into something far more dangerous. It’s one thing to be interrupted, but to be interrupted mid-date? By bandits? That, to her, is an unforgivable offense.
For a brief moment, you almost feel sorry for the poor fools who chose the worst possible target. Almost. But then you remember they just ruined your date, and frankly, you’re more than happy to watch your incredibly powerful, incredibly gorgeous girlfriend teach them a lesson.
Before you can react, Diana sweeps you up effortlessly in one arm, holding you against her side like it’s the most natural thing in the world. You blink, momentarily baffled by the sheer ease of it—but also, well, not disappointed in the slightest.
She spares you a quick glance, her expression softening for just a second before she turns her focus back to the now visibly nervous bandits. “Don’t worry,” she says, her voice smooth yet commanding, “you’re safe with me.”
Her stance is strong, unwavering—her presence alone enough to make the bandits hesitate. And then, with a slight smirk, she adds, “Nobody hurts you on my watch.”
The bandits, to their credit, at least try to hold their ground.
But as Diana readies her lasso, golden light gleaming against the dim saloon, you know one thing for certain—this is going to be so much fun to watch.
