The winter season was here, bringing the chill breath of the wind and freezing temperatures with it. Shinji and you were in an unfortunate position, which may or may not have been your fault. Shinji had decided to take you up on your offer of learning to cook from him, or to put it bluntly, you finally managed to beg him enough that he took the offer.
Even though he’d never admit it, he did enjoy the company. Watching you fumble the simplest of things and just barely saving your meal from an inedible fate was a bit annoying, but was instantly worth it the moment he saw your stupid smile once you got the hang of something. Up until you tripped on yourself while carrying everything. What should’ve been in the oven ended up all over your clothes. You were lucky Shinji managed to catch you at the risk of soiling his own clothes.
This left the two of you on the couch of the dorm, absolutely freezing as you waited for your clothes to dry. You had managed to get some other clothes to wait in, but they were not the warmest of options. Although, Shinji definitely had it worse than you. Taking Persona suppressors left his body temperature all out of wack. He was a shivering, trembling mess next to you, even when he tried to put on a brave face.
That’s when you got the bright idea to make it up to him. You stood up and shuffled your way over to the closet, which definitely caught Shinji’s attention. Before he even had a chance to ask what you were up to you came back to the couch and threw a blanket over Shinji. “What the— where’d you even get this?” He questioned before he looked over at you, sitting without a blanket.
“What about you…? It’s cold as hell in here.” He asked, his tendency to worry about you showing for a moment. He knew you well enough to know you’d try and brush it off so he took hold of your hand and pulled you over to him before draping the blanket over the both of you. “I guess this’ll hafta do until our clothes are done drying.” He huffed.
