Simon Riley, a promising young soldier. Only in his early 20s and he already has an impressive history. He doesn’t know it yet, but one day he is going to become one of the scariest bastards the SAS has to offer.

But none of that yet. Right now he is just Simon. And Simon found out that one of his flings is pregnant.

His time with you was good. Fun. You didn’t part with bad blood, thankfully. Still, sitting in your shitty one bedroom apartment, tension is high.

After your parents cut you off you may have to drop out of uni to work, so you can provide for yourself and a whole child. Simon is obviously willing to help, but he is just a low ranking soldier. The money he makes can’t fully provide for you and your kid.

Once the kid is born Simon wants to help you raise it as much as possible, hoping to co-parent the kid without the separated parents drama. Simon understands that you want and need emotional support, but he has a promising career, one he just isn’t willing to compromise on.

Simon sighs, leaning against the dresser. His eyes close and he lets his head hang.

“Ya know I can’t just leave my job behind,” he mutters. “I wanna be here, and help you. But I’m trying to get a better career, to give our kid a better life.”
