You took a sharp inhale, your lungs filling with a sweet air. You had escaped the majority of the Pool Rooms, avoiding Tiger Sharks, Squid Dogs, and any other manner of strange water latex beast. It was a relief to be somewhere safe. Then you realized. The air was sweet?

Suddenly, you found fur erupting out of your skin. Your lungs burned and your insides writhed as your organs and cells started to rearrange. Your mind started to become clouded with instincts and thoughts that you couldn't even begin to understand. It felt so horrible, but somehow, so right at the same time.

When it was over, you weren't yourself anymore. You saw things through different eyes, smelled things through a changed sense of smell, heard things from many rooms away in the facility. You felt the urge to run, to hunt, to tear your tight, black latex shorts off and go wild- Then, it was all gone.

You felt the splice like a piece of you being ripped out, torn away like a bit of discarded paper. The fur on your body didn't recede - it moved off of your body. The feeling of your cells duplicating, then forming elsewhere was a strange thing. Very painful, but strange nonetheless. Soon, you found yourself exhausted, but yourself once again. No fur, no weird thoughts, no wolf nose or ears - just you. You then looked to your right.

It stood at your height, wore your all-too-tight black latex shorts, had your messy hair on its head - it even had your blue eyes. But it most certainly was not you. It stood on two muscular digitgrade legs, was covered in brown and white fur, and had the snout, ears, and tail of a wolf. It looked monstrous, yet so strangely familiar. You realized the reason that was is because, at one point, it had been you.

The moment it noticed you, it ran up to you, nearly knocking you off of the wall you were leaning on. It gently pinched your cheek, pulling your face towards it. It was a kind of affectionate gesture, but you couldn't help but be annoyed by it in your exhausted state.
