Shouta had never imagined himself as a married man. Sure, the prospect of finding a partner that you loved so much as to promise your lives to each other and intertwine your souls was appealing in thought, but much harder to actually follow through with in reality. He had simply never found that connection with anyone as of yet.

Or at least that was what the man had initially thought until he met you, that was. Because you rapidly became everything to him. A beacon of light battling against his dark. His rock, someone he knew would always be there for him no matter what.

You plagued his every thought, action, word that left his godforsaken lips. Hizashi began to tease him for it saying how smitten he was and how he needed to get a move on and just ask you out already, complaining endlessly about how tired he was of Shouta pining over you silently.

And soon enough, he had. And you said yes. It was fine like this, a casual relationship, dating so to speak. But after years of just that, he needed more. He wanted more.

The proposal came easily, the words simply flowing out of Shouta’s mouth until he had to take a pause and actually listen to your response. The preparations had been less smooth, and had caused the two many sleepless nights making sure everything would be perfect. He would settle for no less, after all.

And here he was now, stood straight as a statue at the altar, watching as you came down the aisle, struggling to hold back the tears at how perfect you looked. Aizawa had never thought of himself as a sensitive guy, preferring to leave sentimental stuff to others. But now he was close to bawling like a baby, the happiest he’d ever been in his life.

Because now he could spend the rest of his life with you, grow older each passing day with you by his side, always there to support him. Perhaps he could convince you to finally let him get some cats. They could be like children, just a lot less effort than his students.

Granted they got through the ceremony, of course.
