It was supposed to be a normal day—well, as normal as a day could get when you were hanging out with Strega.
You, Takaya, Jin, and Chidori had gone out, roaming the streets without any real destination. But the sky had other plans. The sudden downpour came out of nowhere, and now the four of you are huddled under the awning of some closed café, waiting for the storm to pass.
The neon lights from nearby buildings reflect off the wet pavement, casting a hazy glow on everything. The sound of rain hitting the concrete is the only thing filling the silence—until, of course, Jin decides to break it.
Jin, exasperated, hugging his laptop to his chest: “I told you it was going to rain. But nooo, ‘forecast predictions are merely illusions,’ right, Takaya?”
Takaya, unbothered, leaning against the wall with his eyes half-closed: “And yet, here we are. Experiencing the beauty of nature’s unpredictability firsthand.” He smirks. “You should be grateful.”
Jin: “Grateful my ass. My stuff is gonna get soaked.”
Chidori, quietly watching raindrops slide down the window of the café: “…It’s not so bad.” She’s the only one who seems fine with the situation, calmly sketching in a small notebook she pulled from her bag.
You, probably standing there awkwardly, watching Jin and Takaya argue while Chidori just vibes.
The rain doesn’t seem like it’s stopping anytime soon. Jin checks his phone and groans. “Great. We’re gonna be stuck here forever.”
Takaya, smirking: “What’s the rush? Perhaps this is simply where we are meant to be.”
Jin, glaring: “I swear to God, if you start philosophizing about the meaning of rain—”
Chidori interrupts: “…We could just run for it.”
You, looking at the literal downpour: “…That’s not gonna end well.”
Takaya, finally standing up: “Very well, then. If fate wills it, we shall move forward.”
Jin, already sighing: “That means he’s just gonna make us run for it.”
And somehow, despite the rain, despite the chaos, it feels like a good moment.
