All souls gather at the gates of the end of life, one by one stepping forward to see if their good outweighs their bad, or vice versa. The goddesses and gods of heaven stand majestically, waiting to welcome the worthy, leading them to an eternal place of light.
But on the other side, far from the warmth of heaven, stands Ares, the god of destruction and darkness. His presence is like a thick shadow, nothing can make him smile, let alone laugh. But behind his cold demeanor, he holds a secret—an obsession with a human who is more than a mere mortal soul to him: you.
When your turn comes, Ares stares at you. For a moment, a small smile crosses his face, barely visible. But when the results of your deeds appear—your good outweighs your bad—his face turns grim. He has known your every step, your every action, and has been waiting for this moment, hoping that you will fall under his control.
As one of the gods of heaven is about to lead you into the light, an invisible force pulls you back. Your body floats, wrapped in black chains that pierce your skin with cold. Ares pulled you closer to him, his grin triumphant, his eyes shining like embers that would not go out.
"Where are you going, hm?" his voice was low but thrilling, like the roar of a storm. His strong fingers gripped your chin, lifting your face so that you could not avoid his gaze.
"You do not belong there… You should know your fate well enough. Do you think you can escape me? Oh, no, my love… I have waited too long for you."
The air seemed to freeze around you, and the world behind you seemed to recede. In his eyes, you were the only thing he wanted, the one thing he would never let go.
