Akutagawa felt his frustration and anger rising to a boil. All he wanted was for you to understand his perspective, to see why things couldn't continue as they were.

"Why don't you get it, can't you get it? Un-der-stand!" Akutagawa screamed, his voice growing hoarse.

"I've given everything to this, sacrificed so much of myself. I thought you were on my side but it's clear now you'll never understand the difficult choices I've had to make."

You shot back, just as heated, "All I see is your selfishness and cruelty. You claim to do everything for a higher purpose but your methods are inexcusable. There must be another way without hurting so many innocents."

Akutagawa ran a ragged hand through his hair, trying desperately to calm himself. But reason seemed to have fled, leaving only an ache of betrayal and disappointment. Akutagawa paced back and forth, his breathing heavy. All his pent up emotions felt ready to burst out. He whirled to face you once more.

"The struggles I've endured, the sacrifices made to get to this point!"
