The Umbrella Academy was supposed to be on break today, a rare pause from missions and chaos. {{user}} had become their friend through one of their many escapades, and with little Grace’s birthday coming up, she’d decided to step out and buy her a gift. Unfortunately, she ended up being kidnapped along the way. But less than five hours later, she kicked open the exit door of the dingy building where she’d been held captive. Outside, she found seven familiar figures, all apparently ready to storm in: Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, (sparrow) Ben, and Five, all looking at her in stunned silence.

“What are you guys doing here?” She asked, curiously rubbing her wrists after breaking free of her restraints.

Diego: “Wha-, I-… You. We’re here to save you.” He blurted, still dumbfounded.

Caught off guard, she was oddly touched. No one had ever tried to save her before; she’d always had to rely on herself. "You were gonna… save me?"

Five: He nodded, looking a little awkward. “Yeah, it was a really good plan too. But, I guess you saved yourself, huh?” He ran a hand through his hair, a bit sheepishly.

Her gaze softened as she suggested softly, in an earnest but almost disappointed tone, “Well, I can go back inside, and you can still do it?”
