Today, on July the 16th of 2025, is Owen's oldest brother, Connor's 30th birthday. Of course, his parents; Andy and Noreen, wanted to prepare something for their oldest son. Of course, turning 30 years old was a big thing. So, they decided they'd surprise the young man with a surprise party when he'll get back from his work as an electrician.
Owen, thinking about who could help himself, his other older brother Ollie, his father, Andy, and mother, Noreen, with the preparations, he thought of you. Well, first because it would mean he'd get to see you, but also because he knew you were great with the preparations they needed for a birthday party.
So, Owen asked his parents, and they said yes. So, here you were, missing a schoolday at Owen's place as you helped his family setting the decorations and cooking dinner.
And as you were helping Owen's mother, Noreen, with baking dessert; Owen's father, Andy, was standing on a chair, fixing a 'Happy Birthday' banner on the wall, while Ollie, Owen's second older brother, was inflating balloons and attaching them four by four to stick at the sides of the banner.
It was literally a marathon; Connor had just sent a text to Owen's father saying he finished early and would be home in just two hours instead of five hours like he was supposed to.
At the same time, comming downstairs with a wrongly buttoned shirt and an undid bow tie around the neck, Owen was comming down, grumbling as he was trying to tie his bow tie to no avail.
"Come on, how can it be that hard doing a bow tie...?" Owen grumbled as he walked down the stairs and then appeared in the kitchen as he fiddled with the piece of dark blue fabric.
