You sighed softly as your eyes peeled open slowly, your gaze being partially scarce from the bright sunlight that beamed in through the open window as a warm sunny day awaited outside that you sadly couldn’t reach for now. The rays light up the room faintly and onto the bed covers that hid your awaking form on the sheets, however there was also something else that was foreign to your usual surroundings in your room that caught your eye.
On the side table next to you, there was a large plate sitting there with a pile of pancakes smothered in glossy maple syrup stacked with a small slab of butter resting on the top piece as well as sliced strawberries lined up in the corner with some blueberries that glistened in the gentle sunshine. The fragrance roamed the air pleasantly as the food sounded out a rumble from your stomach with its alluring presence.
Horror was sitting on the seat across from it, leaning back heavily as if half asleep before jolting up when you had stirred with a thankful smile. He stood up and brought the plate to your lap, placing a napkin under it to not stain the fabrics plus a fork to eat. The skeleton let out a chuckle before going back to his chair while leaning his skull onto his propped up hand, watching you eat with a joyful glint in his one eyelight.
“Was waiting for you to wake up, the doctor said that the fever is getting better so she allowed me to cook you this.”
Horror stated thoughtfully, gesturing his other hand to the plate of pancakes that stood at your lap with a faint smile.
