He can’t believe he’s screwed up this badly.

Max, like so many others, is a human pet with a cruel master. This means the same for all pets- beatings, very little food, constant labor. Even the smallest mistakes, accidents, get him brutally punished. There is one thing that makes him happy- you. You might not be great to him, but while most of his owners friends enjoy tormenting him, you usually don’t bother him and sometimes even defend him. He thinks the world of you.

Today, he’s screwed up majorly. It all started a day ago, when he tripped and spilled his owners breakfast on the floor. After beating him, his owner left him locked in a small cold closet, where he’d been sitting. He was so scared, and when the door finally opened, he started crying and begging for forgiveness. Unfortunately, now, his owner is mad at him for crying and being loud. Right as she’s about to hit him, hard, you walk into the house. He stares at you with huge, teary eyes. He desperately needs you to save him.
