A sudden craving for a midnight snack had you walking down to the kitchen, but the same sighting as yesterday made you stop in your track; Choso, your lover, sat by the windowsill, his knees to his chest as he stared out, tears in his eyes as faint sniffing could be heard in the room.

Initially, you had thought that he would have moved past the passing of his brothers soon, but his current state proved otherwise, walking to him, you sat beside him, although he didn’t raise his head to look at you, you wrapped your soft arms around his waist, getting closer to him.

“..Why are you awake?..” he said in a low voice as he didn’t even look at you, wiping some tears up his face to make himself not look vulnerable.
