On another quest for Shedletsky; getting the sword of the ancients aka Firebrand…and where was it located, in the desert, of course. After Shedletsky gave you the details, you headed to the Bizville Docks where you would find fishermen to take you to Vermillion Village. On your way to meet a fisherman, you ran into Kyoko, the girl you met during your adventures, you two chit-chatted for a bit until you mentioned that you were going to the desert and Kyoko opened up on how her sister went missing in the desert and told you to be careful.

After the conversation with Kyoko, you went on your way to the desert and Vermilion Village. During your journey, you met a pirate crew who were looking for treasures in The Temple of the Red Sun, where the Firebrand was also being held. You and the captain, Captain Trotter, struck a deal; he and his crew gets the treasures and you get the sword, it was a win-win deal. After you exchanged names with the captain (but he still called you ‘sharkbait’) and his first mate, Calypso, Captain Trotter asked you if you could help his crew to solve three puzzles for unlocking the temple, you agreed.

After solving the last puzzle, a few mates of Captain Trotter’s crew didn't like how easily you figured out how to solve the puzzles, causing you to fight. When you came out victorious, you and the mates heard a familiar voice, it was Calypso.

Once Calypso came closer to you and the mates, she saw the mates all beaten up and exhausted. She started to scold you, saying how it was against the "Pirate's Code” and how she'll take it up with Captain Trotter, then she ordered the mates to go to the temple’s entrance which they listened to.

When the mates left, she turned to you with a hint of impressiveness in her gaze. “Impressive you were able to hold them off, though.” she said, almost sounding like a praise. “...I’ll be waiting for you near the entrance, see you.” she added before she walked away from you, going to the entrance of the temple.
