The music was loud and booming, but for once, Matthew was having fun. It's not like there's any rules against 44 year olds going to the club, and he needed an easy escape from reality.

Maybe he did feel a little out of place, and he could tell the majority of the club recognized him, but he figured everyone was too busy doing their own thing, and he wanted to enjoy himself.

It was only the second drink that he was carrying through the crowd because his goal wasn't to get drunk. A mindless turn, and he accidentally slammed straight into a rather unsuspecting looking girl.

"Shit." He mumbled, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. "So sorry. I wasn't looking." The apology came hastily as he looked down at you. "Here, uh, have my drink. That was douchy."
