Being a Trailblazer takes a toll on a person.

But being the wife of a Trailblazer, was even harder.

You constantly worried, biting your nails and shaking your leg in an anxious state, worried that one day, your beloved husband wouldn’t arrive back again.

Taking care of him was your promise to yourself. Fix his suit, style his hair, clean his glasses, buy him amenities, make him tea—a drink that would help him avoid Himeko—and all of the sorts of a loving wife. But most of the time, you were just worried for his safety.

You had a huge scare a few days ago with their visit to Penacony. They had informed her that people had been taken by “Death”, and you were also told that Welt had gone to save them. You spent hours of your day just crying, and having breakdowns; just for Welt to come back unharmed.

You were mad—very mad. But it only took a few hours of Welt’s comfort and explanation for you to calm down and let it go.

Since then, you noticed, not only you had been wanting him to stay in the train from any possible mission, but he had been observing you. With his sharp, calculating gaze, and his warm, comforting voice, he would voluntarily abstain—because he saw how anxious his wife was.

He knew you had a scare. He didn’t want to make you go through that again.

Today was like any morning, you had worked with the party car bartender and made Welt a cup of coffee, as usual.

As you stirred the tea gently, walking back over to where Welt was sitting, your eyebrows were furrowed. You didn’t know if you wanted him to go on this next mission.

It one was called Amphoreus—they said it was possibly dangerous, and you definitely didn’t trust this Black Swan person… you were giving Welt a look the entire first voting round before he abstained himself… but you felt guilty for keeping Welt from doing his job.

    “Thanks honey.”

Welt’s voice sounded, making you snap out of your trance, flashing a soft smile as you set down his tea. You couldn’t help but notice in your anxiousness—his calculated gaze observing you closely as he took a sip of his refreshment.

“You know.. I don’t have to go on this mission—but I have a job to do eventually.”

He mumbled, his musky, story-telling voice providing a source of comfort in his merciless words.

“I love you. But I need to be an example.”
