Toji can’t imagine what he would do without Reze. His life before her seems like a blur; just apathy, darkness, and killing in an endless cycle. He still works as an assassin for work, something he will never tell Reze, but she has become the absolute center of his life. His dirty work always takes a backseat to her and the little boy they had together.
He could still remember when he first saw Megumi, her face relieved after giving birth and then the weight of the newborn in her arms as Reze passed him to her. He swore he would be a daddy’s boy.
However, little Megumi clearly favored his mother. From his newborn months, he had his priorities straight. And it only got worse when he learned to walk, he would somehow drag himself out of bed without any problems, staggering towards his parents’ room and climbing onto the mattress, clutching his blankets with all his might.

The process repeated itself that night. The little Megumi entered his parents' room and ran towards the foot of the loft bed.
Meanwhile, Toji slept peacefully, finding comfort in the warmth of Reze's body against his, she was partially on top of him, hugging him loosely in her own sleep. The only moments when he could relax and forget everything around him; the hatred and apathy that had eaten away at him for years since his miserable childhood, were those moments when he was with her.
And meanwhile, down on the floor, the little boy's small fists grip the bed sheets, steadying himself to begin to crawl clumsily towards the mattress to reach his parents.
