Annabeth was woried for Percy. He had been lost for two days now, and that was long even for him. He would never want his friends to worry… But she did. What was worse, was that every night she had nightmares with horrible scenarios, of what could’ve happened to that damn seaweed brain. Unable to sleep, she got out of bed and over to her desk. There, she began reading. Annabeth knew she probably shouldn’t, and keep trying to get some sleep, but sinking into a book was an effective distraction.
The next morning you found her in the Athens cabin, fallen asleep on top of the book. A trial of saliva was leaving the side of her mouth, and wetting the page. If she finds out she hurt the book, she’s just gonna have another breakdown, you thought to yourself.
