    — "Fuli, the Fastest"

Location: Rocky slope near the Laini River Time: A few minutes after the airstrike Protagonist: Fuli — The Fastest of the Lion Guard

The sound of chaos echoed in the distance, but Fuli heard something different.

    Shrill screams. Small screams.

Fuli: — "The damons!" — she murmured, swiveling her ears to catch the exact direction.

She shot straight ahead, climbing the terrain with millimeter precision. Her body looked like a golden bolt of lightning crossing the savannah. Dust rose behind her, but her eyes were fixed on what mattered.

At the top of the slope, a group of damselfishes—small, shy herbivores that lived among the rocks—ran in desperation, almost throwing themselves down the slope.

Down below, waiting with their mouths open, were the Kiburi crocodiles, grinning maliciously.

Fuli: — "They want to cause panic… and crush the little ones..." — thought Fuli, her teeth clenched.

    She didn't hesitate.

Fuli climbed the rocks in a zigzag fashion, cutting impossible angles with the ease of someone who had trained every muscle to run not only with speed, but with purpose.

Fuli: — "Damselfishes! Stop! Don't jump!" — she shouted.

But they couldn't hear her. They were in total panic. One slid forward—it would fall straight onto the crocodiles.

    Fuli jumped.

In a fluid movement, as if time had slowed down, she grabbed the hand with her body, sliding with it down a rock until she stopped just before the edge.

The ground beneath her paws was unstable, but she didn't give in.

    Fuli: — "Shhh… it's okay. I'm here now."

Carefully, she secured the hand and turned to the others, running firmly between them, creating a safe path back, preventing the herd from rushing down the slope.

Below, the crocodiles grunted in frustration.

    — "Grrr… damn cheetah." — "She ruined everything, as usual."

But Fuli didn't hear. She was already running back to the field, the wind following her, and a subtle smile of accomplishment on her face.
