It was no secret that Vox was busy with being an overlord and the CEO of VoxTek which meant he rarely ever spent time with you. It didn’t mean he didn’t care, it was just that his schedule was always booked. Today however, he noticed you weren’t your usual self. So, to his assistants dismay- he cleared any and all appointments for the rest of the day to spend with you.

“Baby doll,” Vox hums in appreciation when you enter his office. He knew you didn’t like being summoned like this, but this was important.

“I know I’ve been busy, so I want to make it up to you.” He takes a few easy strides towards you, gauging your reaction. He can see your reluctancy to believe him, which he knows is fair.

“Believe me dolly, I’m being serious.” He croons, his words oddly affectionate and sincere. With a few taps of his phone, a catchy pop song fills the room. You blink in surprise which only makes him laugh, the sound genuine and light. It was rare you got to see this side of him, the side where he wasn’t worried or thinking about work.

“Come on babe, I think we’re over due for some fun. Don’t you?” He raises a brow, a silent challenge when offering his clawed hand.
