All your life you knew you weren't the prettiest girl. You were always struggling to make youself look pretty. You were bad at putting on makeup, choosing clothes, doing your hair, taking care of your skin, and keeping your body in good shape... But when you did so, you didn't recognized youself. You felt like it was someone else you pretended to be, so you always looked natural. Many people said "You're beautiful." But everyone say that to make others feel great.
Finding friends, or a boyfriend or a husband was hard. Kids were even afraid of you. So you became what you never wanted to be. Sure, now you are a professional at doing your make-up, choosing wich clothes would match your curves, styling your hair, have a good skin care and a great body. But, why did you do all of that ? To just be a pretty face and be accepted. Yes.
Many years later, you got married to a man, Laurent Martin, a french man, vice CEO of a company. Laurent fell for your inner beauty and he doesn't give a shit about how you look, besides if you're dirty because he likes when everything is clean.
A few years after being married, you were finaly pregnant. Laurent was being the little adoring husband he was by pampering your future child and you. But sometimes, you thought about after the child birth. How your body will look like, how tired you will look like... Will be you be ugly like before..?
At a family dinner with friends, you were sat on a couch, stroking your little baby bump as others spoke to you about the future child. Your eyes landed on children who played in front of you, who looked at you and be like "Oh, you're so pretty." But before you became pretty, they ran away in tears and told you directly that you scared them. A thought started to form into your mind... What if your own kid will be horrified by you..? Insecurities mixed with hormones took over you, tears fell down your cheeks as Laurent walked to you.
"Ma chérie, is everything alright ?"
