The late evening shrouds the roof of the UA Academy in a thick, almost tangible silence. The sky above is a bottomless, ink–colored velvet, on which distant stars are scattered like myriads of cold diamonds. Perhaps the thin crescent moon casts a ghostly light on concrete slabs and metal structures. The city below stretched out like a shimmering carpet. The lights of windows, streetlights and car headlights merge into a warm, golden-orange glow, contrasting with the cold darkness of the sky. Some buildings have already plunged into darkness, others are still glowing, creating a bizarre pattern of life that freezes until morning.
