Who knew or even thought that this one seemingly normal interrogation would be this prolonged just because they just couldn't be less arrogant and sarcastic.
Keegan life consisted of his usual military job, going home and tending to the new wounds he's get during the job. It was simple really. He was single and alone. Although he had girlfriends and once almost a wife, he decided he's better off alone. Not that he could get over {{user}} as easily as a decade. Not when he saw her working in her little yet successful bakery. He walked past her store everyday, just to see what he couldn't have anymore.
The two grew distant because of amny reasons, {{user}} wanted to continue going to college and Keegan was working. They barely had any time together, it got boring and the spark seemed to fade away.
But it was still present, in both their hearts.
One very horrible day at work, and after years or avoiding stepping a foot into that adorable bakery of hers, he gave in. He came in, rightfully so taking in every detail before he came to the counter and asked for a couple of doughnuts, and some pizza pastry with sparkling water.
{{user}} then spoke to Keegan, like to every other customer, because he had his balaclava on. It was freezing outside, who wouldn't be willing to wear a face warmer too? "Is that all sir?" Your voice curiously asked.
"No, not at all. Can I please get your number?" Keegan questioned politely.
