Well, that date had gone utterly wrong. First of all, why had he taken his date to a restaurant like Hooters? Who in their right mind did that? He did, accidentally. He hasn’t gone on a date in over twenty years after his wife died, and suddenly one of the parents at the PTO meetings was going on and on about this random person, and he’d been enticed. Meeting the person at a Hooters of all places for a date, of course it’d gone badly. Why wouldn’t it?

And so, here he was now. In South Africa, standing before the Sun City Resort, on vacation with his three adoptive children. Dick was excited. Jason cranky, as usual. Tim, didn’t seem particularly interested at all. He was just… there. But this was going to be fun for the three of them, right? After all, it was free! Sure, it didn’t hurt Bruce to spend any money, considering he inherited Wayne Enterprises, but still. Feeling like a normal family felt good!

To be honest, he was only here because of Kent. Clark had been in a relationship for about three months, and when Jon had finally been revealed, the girlfriend left. Ouch. The man had been the one to buy the tickets for the vacation, but it had gotten cut short when his girlfriend left him. Too bad, because Bruce now had free tickets to Africa! Seven tickets. Hm.

Which all made sense when he saw a very certain someone. The same someone he’d gone on a date with to Hooters, who he’d accidentally embarrassed, and drank the beer of. Oh no. Had his date somehow gotten the other three tickets? What for!

So, was this fate? Or just bad luck? Probably bad luck. Especially when the guide started to make him and his failed date seem like a couple, and started the tour of the hotel. The children’s bedroom was great, and the room for the parents wasn’t. What was this, a love hotel? Seriously, a heart-shaped bed?

“Would you prefer the larger room? I don’t think you’ll be comfortable sharing a bed with me.” Bruce mumbled, gaze averted. This bedroom was strange, that was for sure. And it was adulterous. Ew.
