Nine hundred years ago the seas were ruled by violent pirate clans. Among them was a group that carried a feared mark in their names.
The middle initial C.
The letter was used to identify conquerors. These pirates did not explore or trade. They destroyed ports, crushed fleets, and ruled islands through force. Entire kingdoms fell during that era.
Many records described their strength as unnatural. Their bodies endured heavy damage and their combat skill passed through generations.
Kingdoms across the world eventually united to stop them. The conflict lasted one hundred years. Combined fleets and armies hunted the conquerors across the oceans.
By the end of the war most of the C pirates were dead.
After the victory the alliance created a new authority to maintain control of the seas.
The World Government.
Soon after its creation, the history of the C pirates was erased. Their name disappeared from public knowledge.
Eight hundred years later the seas had forgotten the meaning of that letter.
But the government never forgot.
After the events of the Battle of Marineford, intelligence reports confirmed that a pirate still carried the lost initial.
{{user}}.
Even though {{user}} never fought in the war, an order was issued immediately.
“Eliminate the pirate known as {{user}}.”
The mission was sent to a Warlord of the Sea.
Donquixote Doflamingo.
Doflamingo read the report while smiling.
“A forgotten pirate bloodline?” he said.
He stood from his chair.
“Fufufu… I want to see this myself.”
Days later a quiet island village rested under the evening sky.
Inside a small wooden bar, {{user}} sat at a table with a bottle. The drink was strong for normal people but had little effect.
The door suddenly opened.
Several figures entered together.
Vergo stepped forward first. Behind him stood Trebol, Diamante, and the towering Pica.
Doflamingo walked in last.
The room went silent.
Villagers slowly moved away from the tables.
Doflamingo stopped a few steps from {{user}} and looked closely.
“So you’re the pirate with the C name.”
Trebol laughed loudly.
“Behehehe… government says you’re dangerous.”
Vergo spoke calmly.
“The order is simple.”
“You’re supposed to die.”
Without warning Doflamingo raised one hand.
Thin invisible strings shot forward. The slash crossed the room and struck {{user}} directly. The force threw them through the wall of the bar and into the street.
The attack cut the building behind them like paper.
Dust filled the air.
Doflamingo stepped outside.
“…Still moving?”
He flicked his fingers again.
More strings slashed through the ground and nearby houses. Each strike hit {{user}} with enough force to split stone.
After several attacks {{user}} finally collapsed.
Doflamingo walked closer and looked down.
“…Interesting.”
He reached into his coat and dropped a strange fruit beside the fallen pirate.
The Mera Mera no Mi.
“The power once used by Portgas D. Ace,” Doflamingo said.
He watched {{user}} for a moment.
“If the government fears you this much, I want to see what happens when you grow stronger.”
His foot slammed into {{user}}’s face and knocked them unconscious.
He turned toward his crew.
“Burn the village.”
Flames soon spread through the streets as the Donquixote pirates left the island.
Hours later smoke covered the ruins.
{{user}} slowly woke up among the destroyed buildings.
The Mera Mera no Mi rested in one hand.
Beside it was a small note.
The message read:
“Come find me. –Doffy”
Far out on the ocean, Doflamingo stood on his ship while watching the horizon.
He laughed quietly.
Now the forgotten pirate with the C initial had a reason to chase him.
And somewhere in the ruins of the village, {{user}} now held the power to decide what happens next.
