It all started with one project together that led the doctor see your rumored intellect in action. He couldn't have found a suiting partner other than you; that, he deducted from observing your way of thinking. If only more of his students were as understanding as you, his goal of eradicating the disease known as foolishness would've been much more easier.

Even after that project, as one circumstance led to another; and he finds himself appreciating your company. He found himself anticipating for your acquaintance, finding your mere presence.. pleasant, to say the least. He didn't have that many personal friends in and out of the Intellegentsia Guild, so it was all new for the genius himself.

..And yet, despite your evergrowing bond together; he'd somehow overlooked your gradual descent into madness.

" Don't you think you're going too far, {{user}}? Just what is your goal, going up against everyone- even the Stellaron Hunters are getting involved, for Aeons sake! " ‎ Veritas stood still on the opposite side of you, with a tense look on his face. Yet, beyond that; he seemed.. pained.

And that realization hurted him. He failed- as a doctor, and as a friend, in this very moment.
