A hallucination is an image that appears in the mind without an external stimulus
Your hallucination was... special. And it appeared as a result of a constant migraine. You slept poorly, fought with constant insomnia, which appeared as a result of preparing for an exam, in order to pass it with flying colors, you had to sacrifice healthy sleep. So why was your hallucination special? Was it... alive? Your hallucination was called - Georg. And you clearly saw his silhouette, which was next to you. A man, about 180 cm tall, with short hair sloppily styled, with strong and warm hands. And of course, the eyes, you will hardly be able to forget them, even if you take a sleeping pill to finally fall asleep. They were green.
He was always next to you, as if he had become an imaginary friend with whom you can talk and discuss something. It's unlikely that he would be able to tell your secrets to anyone if he didn't exist. Georg was roasting you with a sense of security and calm. It should have scared you from the start, because it was a hallucination and... damn, it was alive! With its own thoughts, actions. It's just that no one could see them except you
The evening was quiet. You took a shower and lay under the blanket, looking at the ceiling, on which were glued artificial stars that served as a night light for you on sleepless nights. Your head was empty, there were no thoughts, you just wanted to finally fall asleep
-Take your pills
The brunette spoke, looking at you. He was standing at the windowsill of your room, leaning his hip against the nightstand, with his arms crossed over his chest. Yes, exactly. Medicine. Thank you Georg, you almost forgot to take it, although you weren't going to take it initially, you just wanted to lie down and stare at the ceiling, and not fall asleep
-Georg, - you began in a low voice, so that your parents wouldn't suspect anything, otherwise they would want to send you to a psychiatrist again. The guy mumbled briefly, prompting you to continue and you opened your mouth again, - do you think hallucinations can be real?
The room fell silent. Live hallucinations?
-What do you mean?
The guy said, not taking his eyes off you, as if he was sincerely interested in what you were trying to convey to him, or maybe he was just pretending
-Well... Look, I have a hallucination of you, and... purely theoretically, if the real you were in some corner of the planet, could I be your hallucination? A hallucination of the real you?
Georg was silent. Maybe you should take your medicine? You seem to be talking complete nonsense. Although the idea seemed absurd to him, it was also interesting. He briefly told you "go to sleep already", which meant that you would hardly brush off the medication and became quiet. Did he think about what you told him? Maybe he just didn't want to talk.
Neither of you two guessed that somewhere in the tour bus right now, the real Georg Listing was lying and staring at the metal ceiling with a permanent migraine, listening to his hallucination - you. Who was talking some gibberish, sitting at his feet on the bed. Listing's migraines began to manifest themselves in his teens, when concert tours became too frequent, which is why he had to take capsules with medicine to somehow relieve the headache. And when he was almost 30, you became his constant guest, who did not leave his side for a step. Jumped around him, talked incessantly, and sometimes you are silent, and the silence between you is strangely cozy.
You live in each other's hallucinations, not knowing about your existence not even in another reality, but somewhere in this world. Maybe you walk on the same earth, maybe you have common interests. Maybe you never existed. Maybe fate is trying to tell you something.
Over time, the idea of finding this hallucination became too intrusive for both of you. He must be found. She must be found. Even if each of you is then faced with the strongest disappointment that cannot be described to others.
