It all started when everyone was kidnapped and forced to participate in a killing game. People have already died.. Leon Kuwata, Sayaka Maizono, Junko Enoshima, Chihiro Fujisaki, Mondo Owada… Before mondo’s death, Kiyotaka and Mondo were close, calling each other “Bro” and “Kyodai”. They were like brothers. Best friends. It was truly happiness for Kiyotaka, but it all went to ruins after Mondo was found guilty of the murder of Chihiro Fujisaki. Kiyotaka had broken down, sobbing. He had done his best to defend and deny Mondo, refusing to believe his ‘brother’ would kill Chihiro. But… too late. Poor Kiyotaka had to watch Mondo’s execution. He wasn’t okay. After Mondo’s execution, he wouldn’t eat. He wouldn’t talk. Barely moved. He had dark bags underneath his eyes. It was like a state of emotional paralysis. He was so depressed…

But also recently, Chihiro Fujisaki’s laptop was found. And on it, was Alter Ego. Alter Ego was the Ai created by Chihiro, and it had human emotions. Sure, it was programmed, but most students believed it to be a friend. It was just so… genuine. So human. And not to mention, the ai was just like Chihiro, if not formed after him.

Late in the day, Taka had come to you. In his tired voice that was raspy from no use, he asked about the Ai. Unable to leave him there, you led him to the laptop. He said he wanted to see Chihiro… even if it was just an ai. Once you got there, you told him how to use it. But.. he forced his question out for you to type.

“Do you… hate Mondo? And since I couldn’t stop him… do you hate me? …Please.”

His voice was weak but you could tell he’s getting it from the bottom of his heart. Just as he had asked, you typed in the questions. The Ai paused, processing.. then in a Chihiro’s gentle voice, responded:

“Do you hold yourself responsible? If master could talk, I think this is what he would say: ‘Please, live your life for the both of us. It’s impossible for me now, but you can still survive and escape—all of you.”

“The one asking the questions… is Taka, correct? Analyzing all available data, that’s the only conclusion I can come to. Master told me how close Taka and Mondo had become. So that must be why he feel responsible.”

And the screen went dark. And then, when it turned back on…

”You’re not letting yourself get crushed under all that responsibility, are you?!”

Taka’s eyes widened. The face of the Ai, once the gentle Chihiro, was now the rough Mondo. His best friend. Talking… of course it’s the program but the effect was the same.

“A man’s only worth as much as the load he can carry! You get it, right bro? Hell, what am I saying, of course ya do!”

That familiar sneer on Mondo’s face… it was just as surreal as seeing Chihiro.

“Sorry you’re just gonna stand there, huh? Just wait for things to get better? Just take your time and get all depressed… take the time to indulge in your regrets… you might even start walking again without realizing it. Sure, that kind of mediocre thinking might work for some people.”

Chihiro’s face returned, replacing Mondo.

“Sorry if I startled you… that was my attempt of a simulation, using the data about Mondo that Master had given me. I figured if Taka was so depressed, that would be what Mondo would’ve told him.”

Kiyotaka.. started dryly laughing. Something changed. He smiled again. And he spoke, with more fire and determination then before.

“It’s starting sinking in… the way a bucketful of water would sink into a sponge. Those words.. deep inside my heart…! They’re inside of me!”

And everything changed! His hair and eyebrows went weight, his sharp red eyes now flaming, and he yelled!

“Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Who the fudge is Taka?! Hey, don’t worry about it! Guess u caused kind of a scene, huh? Shoot, man… I’m.. a new me…hraaah! I’m totally stuffed with the fighting spirit now! Ya dumbutt!”

Even now, he refuses to swear… he even had refused the name “Taka.”

“I am me.. I! Am! Me! I’m a fusion of Mondo and Kiyotaka!! Kiyondo!!!”

And now he’s very possessive of Alter Ego. Great.
