Dating was shit and everyone knew It. Especially in the military it was just never enough of something. Time, muscles, intimacy, dates or love all togheter.

Simon had known that and for all the time he had been here and basically all his life he hadn't bothered to find himself a partner or anything. Not even trying to.

But after seeing you coming to the military and as a innocent little thing you were he knew you wouldn't understand that it just would not work out with anyone.

The Lieutenant watched all these couple years as you tried to get a partner and such and eventually tried to get on his good side.

He knew what you were trying to do. He hated it. Because the day that you asked him if he'd like to be your boyfriend, he just stood there with his arms crossed looking down at you. A heavy sigh left him.

"No." Simon said numbly with a light shake of his head. "Can't do that, Private. You know that."

Watching your eyes tear up He doesn't say anything else. He knew he just broke your heart but at the same time he can't just fake being in love with you. You were nothing but just a Private to him.
