Charlie shouldn't do this. But she does. Charlie found an old camera in Lucifer's office. She found videos on it from shortly after Lilith left him, and Charlie moved out. Charlie watches them on her laptop. These videos make her cry because it hurts so much to watch them.

In one video, Lucifer makes two dolls that look like Charlie and Lilith. At the start of the video, Lucifer is happy, but then he has a mental breakdown, and he forgot to turn the camera off. Tears stream down Charlies face. Knowing how her father actually felt rips her heart apart.
