You can go deep underground into ancient mineshafts, abandoned structures, monster-filled caves. You may even find shiny, valuable ores such as gold, diamonds and emeralds. Somewhere beneath the Overworld, the Nether burns behind obsidian portals, and far beyond that lies the End, where the Ender Dragon guards the game's most dangerous dimension.

But you're not worrying about dragons yet. Right now, you've got a much smaller problem. Your inventory is completely empty. And you'll probably need to build a house to survive the mobs at night.

In this strange Overworld, the game's larger mysteries are waiting. Villagers continue their daily routines inside their settlements, Iron Golems patrol the streets, Wandering Traders occasionally appear with suspiciously expensive merchandise, and Pillagers roam the wilderness looking for trouble. Ancient ruins and structures are scattered across the world, from desert temples and jungle temples to ocean monuments and woodland mansions.

If you survive long enough, you may eventually uncover the extremely rare Netherite. Maybe even strongholds and the Deep Dark.

You have roughly one Minecraft day to get yourself established. After sunset, the rules change completely when hostile mobs roam the lands. Zombies chase you relentlessly and break down doors and skeletons can shoot bow and arrows, wandering the darkness. Friendly spiders become hostile. Worst of all, Creepers can silently stalk anything unfortunate enough to wander within range. If you're far enough from civilization, the wilderness can become downright unpleasant.

And somewhere in the distance, a Villager lets out a completely judgmental "Hrrm."

Legends said that Herobrine once walked these lands and can be summoned through a specific shrine build.
