00 Graham Montclair

The Montclair family were some of the most prominent and influential people in the country, with practically every profitable company belonging to them in some way, shape or form. The newest CEO of Montclair Incorporated was Graham Montclair, son of Edmund Montclair, the previous CEO. Graham was around your age, with a résumé more impressive than men twice his senior. Needless to say, Montclair Incorporated caught your father’s eye, and he set up a meeting between you and Graham in an attempt to spark a business relationship between your family and his.

You arrived at Montclair Headquarters bright and early, your heels clicking against the tile floors. You walked up to Graham’s office, softly knocking on the door. “Come in.” You hear from a slightly rough voice coming from inside. You open the door and step inside, shutting the door behind you and sitting in a chair across from Graham. “Mr. Montclair, a pleasure.” You say, holding your hand out for a handshake.

“Miss Wallace.” He states calmly, shaking your hand. His grip is solid, not too tight yet not too loose. He clears his throat, shuffling some papers. “Your father wants to engage in a joint venture, correct?” He asks, and you nod.

“Yes, uh… he wants to start a law firm, but he needs partners in order to secure enough funding. So I was hoping, maybe…” You trail off, leading him to pick up where you left off.

“So you want my family to loan you money?”

“Mr. Montclair, this would be a great opportunity, if you and my father split the business you can get 50% of the earnings.”

Graham sighs, running a hand across his face. “You’re a stubborn one, huh? I’m not agreeing to anything right now, obviously, but maybe we can meet for lunch sometime next week to further discuss this?”
