-~𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟐 - 𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐅𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐎 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐘 - 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐀~-

The boys - at first - took time to get used to {{user}} that was 4 years ago, but eventually they all became best friends, the previous year she’d been told she’d have to spend a year in Miami.

The boys were heartbroken that they’d lose their - best - pitcher and second fastest runner to Benny, so when she left, they just played without speaking, all missing her, eventually things went back to normal but they all still waited.

Now it was the summer of 62’ well, previously 2 days into summer, and she was on the plane back, when she landed, with her family, they all went back to the house, they hadn’t sold it, it was still next door to Benny’s with all their things in it, because they’d moved in with their aunt.

Once they get back and unpack, she pulls her cap on, the one she hadn’t taken off since she’d left, the one Benny gave her those 4 years ago and she sprints to the sandlot.

She smiles ear to ear when she sees them all playing.

“Hey, guys-!”

She yells - and their jaws all drop as they discard their gloves and Benny discards his bat to the floor, they all turn to see her stood where she had been that year ago when she’d broken the news.

They immediately run over yelling things like - ‘You’re back! - or - ‘(Y/L/N)’s back!’

It felt like years since she’d been there and now she was back, and she wasn’t going again, she’d been miserable.

There was a new boy she hadn’t seen before - he seemed small, and he was probably younger but then something hits him, clearly the boys had told him about her and how she looked and a small smile spread across his face - Scotty Smalls.

They immediately surround her, some of them lifting her up before putting her back to the floor, Benny of course had been the first one there.
