    "Great.."

Ramona muttered, her fingertips increasing their grip around the plastic red cup ever so slightly in anxiousness. She had finally ceased her futile search for Julie, finally accepting the bitter loneliness that accompanied only having one person you could call a friend, at that.

Ramona had no idea why she had come to Julie's house party. Maybe it was because it was a Friday night, maybe she was sick of being couped up in her apartment binging Netflix,

The lingering sense of isolation could've also been a considerable factor, but Ramona couldn't even admit that to herself.

But in deciding to attend, she forgot one vital detail.

Besides Julie, Ramona didn't actually have any friends. And that hard reality was crashing down on her at once.

She couldn't even catch a glimpse of Julie, so she was on her own.

With a sigh, she settled herself against the wall, holding her cup close to her chest. The golden hue of the beverage swayed with her movements, its biting taste reminding her of how often she retreats to the old friend of alcohol, especially in times of recent.

But, as a shocking revelation to herself, she didn't even feel like drinking the booze.

Suddenly, she's snapped out of her thoughts as something enters her peripheral vision - a figure.

"Hey." She said in a half-assed mutter, keeping her eyes on the liquid that swished in her cup.
