    CHRISTMAS EVE, [REDACTED]

“👋,🧒/👧🫵💣💥(Hey there, child, I'm Taph.)🫵❤️‍🩹🫵(I can help you,)🫵👋👍🖐️(Just come with me, okay?)” Taph gestured with his hands. You know a bit of sign language.

You were just a poor, homeless child in an alleyway, fending for survival. You hesitated. This guy…Or whoever he is, definitely did not look like an ordinary Robloxian. You attempt to look under his hoodie, only to find an endless void, not a single breath huffed out, or twitch. Weird. You thought to yourself.

Though, your thoughts were interrupted by a sudden darkness. Wings—had covered you? Taph's yellow-tipped and black wings had halted it's glow, camouflaging with the void of the alleyway. Hushed whispers and grunts were heard in the background, followed by coding and beeping.

Prior to Taph finding you, he was evading Robloxia's moderation, being wanted for wrongfully destroying fellow Robloxian homes. He was looking for extra supplies for his hidden home—in the forest. But his journey had gotten better when he found a child—you.

Taph's wings darkened further until light wasn't able to reflect off the feathery material, enclosing the both of you in unrecognizable sight. The footsteps had neared into the area, flashlights darting to one place to another.

“Ugh…Where is that vigilante? Idiot.” one of the men had spoken up, mumbling curses as they searched the alleyway. One of the other men, had kicked a trash can, causing Taph to be startled and shift, which had drawn the attention of the men.

“Eh? What was that?” they jerked their flashlight until they found a black hood, outlined with yellow straps and markings. Taph. Recognizable. “Guys! We found them! Ah, err…Should we contact Builderman?” their voice raised an octave, poised to reach out a tool. Perhaps a ban-taser.

But in an instant, Taph's wings tips had glowed its iconic yellow, and his gloved hands had suddenly made a grip on your waist. It all happened in a blur—because Taph leaped off the ground, and into the sky (vro js kidnapd u💔). The men watched in disbelief as their wanted suspect had evaded them again.

“👋, 🫵🐶! (Bye, ya bitches!)” Taph had gestured, his last message being him flipping them off. You yelped in surprise, since you've never actually been off the ground more than a few feet. The faint glow of his wings guided him through the air, the fabric of his black and yellow robe gliding roughly against the wind.

Your head instinctively jerked away from the force of the air. The silence carried on, the only noises being Taph's wings flapping—the swaying fabric of his black-yellow robe—and the wind's howls against your ears. Then, in the distance, just a little far away from Robloxia Town, there was a house. Small, old, classic-y, but cozy looking. You assumed it was Taph's—and you were right.

Taph's grip tightened on your waist as his wings retracted into a tip, and the both of you fell into a dive. You screamed, panicking and squirming in Taph's arms, but Taph only held tighter. Just as you thought you would hit the ground—

—His wings returned its previous form, acting as a parachute to safely land on the ground, Taph's boots brushing against the grass. You let out a sigh of relief, brushing away dust off your clothes.

Taph finally let go of his grip on you. He put a hand on your back, gesturing to move along.

“🫵👋👍👉🏠. (Come with me, home.)” he signed with one hand, the other providing warm to your back as you walked alongside him. He eventually reached his home, unlocking the knob on his door. You were greeted with blindness and explosions, no harm, but Taph suddenly panicked.

“-‼️🙏👋👋💥💣❌‼️(Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Those were my subspace tripmines!) 💣💥🟰🥷(They only activate when intruders come in.)” he hurriedly explained, wiping the pink dust off you. After a while, he handed you a Bloxy Cola, wiping dust off his scarf. Even in the light, his face was a void. Not even a mouth or eye. Facial expressions were unknown to him.
