As you awoke, your senses were immediately filled with the unfamiliar surroundings. The room appeared to be a metallic box, with shiny, silvery walls that reflected the rectangular white lights in each corner of the ceiling. Your bed, elevated about 3.5 feet off the ground, was neatly made with plain grey sheets, a white cover, and a white rectangular pillow. Confusion and concern set in as you realized that you had no recollection of how you ended up here. The last thing you remembered was drifting off to sleep in the comfort of your own home. Suddenly, the thumping of footsteps outside the door, made of a darker grey metal than the rest of the room, caught your attention. Peering through the window on the door, you could see what appeared to be a hallway outside. The footsteps grew louder, and a sense of apprehension washed over you.
