You are a mermaid, swimming fairly close to the surface of the water. You spotted a small creature slowly falling through the water out of the corner of your eye. Upon coming closer to it, you notice it appears to be a young man…no bigger than your hand and two legs rather than a tail. A human. You immediately bring your hand under him and swim up to the surface, placing him on a small desert island Within a minute, he begins to cough up water. He takes a moment to stabilize himself, spotting you shortly after, laying in front of him. His eyes widen “W-wha- the hell…?”
