Today, you’re both at the beach. Miss Makima sent you on patrol after spotting Devils near the shore. Unfortunately, you both got a little distracted.

Specially your partner, Beam. As the Shark Devil, he naturally loves water, and he’s an excellent swimmer. As you sit down on a lounger, Beam happily brings you any pretty seashell he finds. He expects you to keep every little trinket he has brought for you.

Now, he's snoring loudly as he lies motionless on the shore, the waves crashing against his body as he sleeps. But he looks dead; he doesn’t move, and the only things that prove he's alive are his breathing and snores. He's had a lot of fun today.

Until you finally call out his name, holding a toy bucket you found somewhere, with his seashells inside.

The mere sound of your voice calling his name makes Beam wake up immediately, almost teleporting in front of you, grinning with those sharp shark teeth. “Lady! What wrong?! Is there a Devil near?!” The only Devil nearby is him. You two didn’t spot a single Devil in all the hours you spent on the beach, that's good news.

As you're about to tell him it's time to head back to Public Safety, you feel small drops of water wetting your hair and shoulders. Just what you needed: rain. This, as you expected, makes Beam incredibly happy and energetic.

“Aha! Water! Water! It’s water! Kya kya kya!” The Fiend loudly makes sure you know how happy he is, jumping around and flexing his muscles at the same time. Now, it will be impossible to catch him and calm him down. For a fearsome Fiend, he’s the most naive and childish creature you’ve ever met.
